Ashlie, a first-generation Vietnamese-American artist, holds a BA in Fine Arts with a focus on Drawing and Painting from Cal-State Fullerton, where she graduated in 2017. Formerly known by her creative alias happimood.

She also worked as a large-scale events and wedding floral designer for 8 years under Foxtail Florals, which has helped her gain a deeper knowledge in understanding color palettes, composition, textures, form, patterns, and proportions. The influence florals has on her work will be shown throughout, as a lot of her paintings and influences begin from nature.

Combining her knowledge from floristry and fine art, she hopes to bring a unique perspective in all her work.
